Apple Airpods
Much like iPhones Airpods have become the go to for many people when it comes to earphones. That is for a good reason too, they really are top of the range. With a few different options aswell you don’t need to necessarily break the bank to get yourself a pair.
AirPods 4 - $219
The Airpods 4 are Apples latest release in the Airpods line. But how do they compare to their predecessor the Airpods 3? Well take a look below
Sound Quality: AirPods 4 offer improved sound clarity with better bass response compared to the AirPods 3, thanks to upgraded drivers and custom tuning.
Battery Life: AirPods 4 have slightly better battery life, providing around 6 hours of listening time per charge, whereas AirPods 3 offer around 5 hours.
Design: Both models feature a similar design, but AirPods 4 are a bit more compact and ergonomic for a more comfortable fit, especially during long sessions.
Connectivity: AirPods 4 support more seamless connectivity with new features like better integration with Apple’s ecosystem and enhanced Bluetooth stability.
Price: AirPods 4 are priced higher due to the upgraded features, making them a better option for those willing to invest a bit more for the latest improvements.
AirPods Pro 2 - $399
The AirPods pro are Apple’s top of the range earphones, see below for main features of the Pro’s compared to the AirPods 4.
Sound Quality: The AirPods Pro 2 offer superior sound quality with Adaptive Transparency and Active Noise Cancellation, while the AirPods 4 have improved sound over previous models but lack the noise-canceling feature.
Battery Life: The AirPods 4 offer up to 6 hours of listening time, similar to the AirPods Pro 2’s listening time with ANC off. However, the Pro 2 offers 6 hours with ANC on, making it better for noise isolation.
Design: The AirPods 4 have a more traditional design with no silicone ear tips, while the AirPods Pro 2 come with customizable ear tips for a more secure and comfortable fit.
Connectivity: Both feature the latest H1 chip, but the AirPods Pro 2 have added features like spatial audio and better integration with Apple devices, offering a more immersive experience.
Price: The AirPods Pro 2 are more expensive due to their advanced features like noise cancellation, better sound quality, and customizable fit, while the AirPods 4 offer great value at a lower price point.
It’s really a case of style choice when you’re looking at the hardware side of the airpods, do you prefer to have the earbuds attached or not? However the software is really where you see the difference in the price points, being an owner of a pair of AirPod gen 3’s I can tell you they are absolutely perfect however if you have the money I would definitely invest in the Pro’s.
